Mario's Bohemian Cigar Store, one of the oldest and best original cappuccino cafes in North Beach, (and the United States) was founded by Mario Crismani and his wife, Liliana. Since Mario retired, it has been operated by their son, Paul, and his wife Debbie. You will often find actual bohemian  writers hanging out at the bar it is a real SF experience.

As an artist and sometime Bohemian himself, James has conveyed the fun of sitting in a Northbeach cafe with a waterglass of red wine looking out the window at St Peter and Paul’s Church near Washington Square park. Many local San Franciscans as well as visitors to the City have experienced this great spot to sip wine and people watch.
